I echo all of the positive things said here and can vouch for the fact that the points start to fall like rain once you stop paying attention. (When I joined I thought I'd never get to 500 and now I have tons)
Read the threads that interest you, post away, and before long you will have more points then you can shake a stick at   |

FYI, it costs 50 points per download. Even if you download the same file twice, you get charged each time you download it. So if your usual MO is to download, take a peek at it and then close it without saving, I wouldn't recommend that. Save anything you think you might want to look at again later, or it's going to cost you another 50 points to go back and open it again.
