the point system is in place to help the forum run more smoothly. It is a way to reward members that contribute more to the forum. Downloads are a huge resource hog and very taxing on the server so i do not want people to just download templates whenever they want.
As a noobie, you get 200 points just for registering. That is enough for 4 downloads and in my opinion more than enough to get you started. If you do NOT have enough points to download a template, it means you are not active enough. PERIOD.
there are so many ways to get points. Just participate...add something about a hotel or resort you have visited....post a pic of a fabulous table setting. Please do not ask for points either on the forum or by PM. On the flip side, forum members, please do not donate a bunch of points for people to use as downloads either.
It is very easy for me to see who has had points donated and i can very easily just delete the points. It is also written in the rules that all new members received NOT to ask for points. If you disregard that rule and also this post and still ask for points you will lose forum priviledges temporarily.

Thanks Tammy. I wont donate points anymore. It's really not that hard to earn points girls, I know when i started on the forum I would welcome Newbies a lot and all of a sudden i had a lot of points.

Downloads are items posted by other members that require a download to view them- for example, someone might attach a word document that provides an example of a brochure they put together.
