We are doing the same thing. I felt that was a way to include everyone at some point in the celebration on our marriage but yet not have everyone and their brother at the wedding. Most people just go for the reception anyways so why not celebrate your marriage 2 different days! It's giving me an excuse to wear my dress a second time so everyone can see me dressed up if they want pictures...

It's funny how people are sometimes... trying to get your FI to invite others for her... lol

Everyone lives in different locations as well. We'll see in the coming months if things change.
