Well, my parents have just started getting calls.... asking if they were going to be receiving their invite in the mail.... lol. Mom calls me and asks if I sent out invites to such and such, and I said no, I don't even know where they live and haven't spoken to them in years. **sigh** People better not start harassing my parents with calls about "where's my invite?"... but mom will put them in their place anyway if they bug her too much... heehee.

Everyone will be all excited about going now, until it is time to book and pay. Then suddenly you will get all these excuses and those who just don't respond to your calls and emails because they don't have the balls to sy they aren't coming. I hate that, it you aren't coming, just say so, I'm fine with that, but don't avoid us because of it!!! At least your Mom will put them in their place if they eep bugging her!

Erica is exactly right. EVERYONE wants an invite, but when its time to spend money, that number drops dramatically. Good thing you got Ma Dukes to put them in place!

don't ya just love it? haha ... i remember when my FMIL was inviting everyone she passed on the street LOL.
we eventually set her straight that it was an intimate affair, and that yes, even though it's at an all-inclusive, we are paying PER HEAD, (operative words being "WE ARE" paying, so WE will be doing the inviting, thankyouverymuch).

:) I figured "things" would start, just not this early... lol
I told my mom who the invites were sent to, so she knows now for sure.
My mom is very bold and upfront... she'll just tell them to f*** themselves if they bug her or put up a stink. lol. There's no beating around the bush with her.

Oh people are so funny. For our wedding they did the same thing. Everyone wanted to be invited, however when the time came, not a single one of them came. don't bend, I did... and it cost me a lot of money in postage! :)

I cant believe people are asking your mom where their invites are. That's like fi's best friend, he called and asked fi to make sure he invites his parents to our wedding. I just think that's a little rude. People shouldn't pressure your parents for invites.

Luckily the main offender is FMIL and I haven't spoken to her since Christmas yayyy!! lol all her wedding enquiries go through FI who has been warned NO-ONE that we haven't discussed is going lol He thought it would be safer for him to deal with his mother so that she wasn't bodily harmed for the photos apparently  lol
