No Longer Able To Edit Posts?

Are we no longer able to edit posts? I was going to edit one of my posts and the edit button was missing... Or at least I suddenly can't find it. Just wondering if I'm being a flake or if the option to edit is removed at the moment?

 

Uh-oh, now I'll actually have to proofread before posting!! I always go back and edit all the spelling mistakes I make, I'm so bad with that

 

EDITED TO ADD: WTF?!?! Suddenly the edit button re-appeared on my screen. Either I'm going crazy or my computer is posessed. Sorry!!!! Mods: You can delete this if you want!

Ohh.. hmmm... wait. The edit button only shows up with my recent posts. I guess we can no longer edit old/older posts?

you have 60 minutes to edit posts.

 

this is so members cannot just delete posts after they leave so we have a bunch of blank posts.

 

if something really needs to be edited or deleted, pm me.

Ahh, ok. That's fine. I mostly just edit my spelling errors. I'll just have to remember to use my spell check.

so wait, i swear in the past i've gone back to an older post and edited the first post to update something, has this ability changed recently?

 

i think thats a good idea to inable people to delete stuff, what if someone had posted a great idea, then deleted it, and then someone else went looking for it and it could never be found again

I didnt even think people would go back and delete all of there posts... thats to bad.

I think it's a recent change becuse I know I've edited posts older than 60 minutes in the past. I can see the reasoning behind the change though. I just thought I was losing it for a minute there!

No, I'm attempting to edit some of my posts and I thought I was losing my mind also! Can someone help me out here?! I have no EDIT button!

I get that one wouldn't want posts that were good ideas edited, but what about someone like me, who posted my invites and wasn't aware at the time, of how to distort certain info? Thomasjsgirl was good enough to advise on how I do it - and now I can't b/c the ability to edit has been taken away!

Well according to what Tammy Host says above, we just need to contact her (or can the mods do this too?) to ask to have something edited after the 60 minute edit period expires.

 

I think this is pretty normal for forums, there is always some "expiry date" for editing posts. I really enjoyed not having a time limit on this forum (in particularly because I work on continuously updating the Dreams Tulum thread).

i know..i hate having the time limit as well but we have had some instances of members leaving the forum and just deleting all their posts by editing them to be blank so threads do not make much sense.
