I bought the parents digital photo frames and loaded them with photos from the wedding. They are all VERY happy with them.

Yes, I gave them their gift after the wedding. None of them were expecting a gift and it would have been a pain to carry something there and back (aside from small jewlry, etc.). I wrote them all nice cards that I gave them at the wedding.

sorry posted this on the other thread that was moved here......

I have been to a couple of weddings were the bride and groom gave their parents gold dipped roses. I thought it was a really neat idea. My FI actually got me a pink gold dipped rose and it is one of my favorite gifts ever. Thought I would share the idea. We are thinking about getting them for ours as well with a picture of us framed with a poem.

I wanted to do something extra special for my Mom because she's been such a huge help through everything so I bought a gorgeous hanky for her and am having it embroidered with "To dry your tears, as you've dried mine, through the years" and our wedding date. I'm going to give it to her when I get down the aisle, and I think I'm going to get them both a g/c for a hotel and casino when they get back so they can get away on their own for a weekend.

Then we'll be buying albums and putting our wedding photos in them for my parents and for FFIL.

FFIL is getting his outfit for the wedding bought for him because we know he'll show up in some god awful suit from the 70's if we don't.
