WANTED: J Crew Silk Taffeta Ballerina Dress

I am looking to buy 1 or 2 of the J Crew Silk Taffeta Ballerina dresses for my bridesmaids. I need the "Papaya" color in a size 4 or 6 preferably. J Crew made a mistake and didn't actually have them available when I purchased them so now I have 2 and am going to have 2 naked bridesmaids if I don't find 2 more! Please help if you can! Thanks so much.

there's a size 12 on ebay - wonder what a seamstress could do....
i think naked bridesmaids would be rather interesting...

Email the person that has one on ebay, maybe they have more or were in a wedding with multiple bridesmaids and would share the other girls' email addresses.

Did you call JCrew Corp Offices directly and demand something be done (nicely of course) bridesmaid dresses are a all year round business and can be recut at anytime to have more product available to the customer. Also they may say online they have no more available but there are always pieces around. especially that they took and sent half your order. Did they tell you when you placed the order it was out of stock? If not, they owe you something they went into contract agreeing they had the product available for sale and legally can not not fill the contract of sale. I had the same thing happen to me. I ordered 4 BM dresses from Jcrew and all but one shipped. When I called them to check on it, they said that they didn't have that size in stock, and the only thing they could do was send a different (larger) size and then pay for the alterations. I was NOT going to accept that. I told them that they should have notified me if they dress was not available.

I talked to a manager, and I told her I wanted something to be done bc I don't want to stress over this and my wedding was coming soon. I said there is a dress I like that has my color, the listed price is 180, can she match my original price of the other dress 132.99. She said yes, and sent them out overnight immediately! I would definitely call them and talk to a manager. You should not have to go out of your way to find something they said was available. I hope that info helps.

Thank you so much for all of your advice! I really appreciate it. I have spoken with someone in the wedding department at J Crew and he is going to look in the factory for me and let me know by Tuesday if they find anything. If they don't, I will definitely be talking with management to see what can be done. Its just so frustrating because i was so excited!
