Hi! I was there once in January and it was pretty chilly, in the 40 degree range at night. I would definitely bring something warm. I think we have Vegas girls here who can tell you more...have fun |

I've been in NYC and Las Vegas during Christmas where they both had snow, although Vegas is less likely to have snow than NYC during that time...given that I freeze if the temp drops below 65 (yes, I'm a whimp), I say bring super warm clothes.

The desert is always a bit chilly at night, the day time is fairly nice in Southern Nevada during the winter.
I don't know that I ever used my winter coat when we lived there. As far as snow in Vegas, it does not happen on the strip but a bit north of the strip. Anyway its a nice time of year.

It's difficult in the winter, especially for visitors... because you'll be in the casinos a lot of the time but probably walking The Strip the rest of the time.
I'd suggest layers, with a windbreaker-type jacket. It's the wind, more than anything, that gets you.

Vegas is definitely warmer then NYC but still it can get pretty cold , especially at night. New York is just a bummer, no snow for couple of years but still freaking cold

I was there in january 2008 for my birthday. It was just cold!! I wore my wintercoat when I went outside.
For the wedding I need something to cover up, because I feel freeze my butt off, I'm afraid
My weddingdate is december 18.
