Does anyone know how much they charge for a private dinner reception at the Riu Tropical Bay?
also at the reception/dinner, is it set up like a regular wedding reception where you would have speeches and a dance? or do you have to have your dance at the disco?

Im of no help, but I am getting married at TB April 09, 2009! I dont really have a clue what to expect.
FI and I are curious as to how the reception/dinner is set up as well. We dont have that many guests coming with us, so we dont need a private reception or dancing.

We are having around 44 people attend.
I really wanted a private dinner, so we could do speeches and have it more intimate.
Have you made any arrangements with the hotel yet?

I am getting married at Riu Ocho Rios so I would assume it is similar, but don't quote me on this. You can have a private reception for a fee. You do not have to have dancing in the disco you can do it there and you can have a DJ, steel drum, ipod or whatever for dancing.
