Default Groom and groomsmen attire-help please

Hi. So I kind of have a dilemma. My Fiance wants to wear a suit and he wants one from jcrew (I have a friend that works there and can get us 30% off). Here's where the problem comes in. Do we get the same pants for the men so they match? Or go with the much cheaper linen pants from macys (clearance). The colors would be pretty different. A natural linen vs an italian chino cotton. HELP!!!

Hmmm...I guess it depends on your personal preference. Do you care that the colors are going to be different? If you guys don't care, then let the other guys get the linen pants and your FI can go with the suit. Your FI is the groom, so him looking different won't matter.

If you want everyone to match, do you think the other guys will mind spending a little bit more & getting the jcrew pants?
Sorry, I don't think I helped! LOL

I would go with the matching suits whether you go with all of them from JCrew or all of them from Macy's. Especially since you said the colors would be different. Just my opinion though.

Thats what I was thinking I am just having a hard time asking the wedding party to pay so much for their clothes. I guess they would get to keep them so its not a bad deal. If we were getting married at home they would have to rent a tux so what's the difference? Right?

Yup, you're absolutely right about renting the tux. What's the price diff btwn the Macy's pants & those from Jcrew? Can your friend possibly use their discount & get the Jcrew pants for the GM too?

The price difference is $50 (Macy's) vs $80 (jcrew with discount). The only thing, the jcrew are pants they could wear again. I'm not sure if they would wear linen pants again. You know? I know that its ok for the groom to stick out. He is going to be wearing a suit anyways and the guys will just have the same shirt and pants. It would be nice to have the guys all in the same color -the girls are going to all have the same dress.
