Default Free wedding package w/ resort...

Hey all,
OK so this might be the weirdest question of the day. A free package with bouquet, boutonnière, cake and champagne is included with a weeks stay at most of the resorts. We are probably going to do the ceremony off site and then come back to the resort for dinner.

Can we take the bouquet & boutonnière with us? And then have the cake and champagne with dinner when we get back? Would save a bit of money that way. Thanks, Carla

I think you should check with the resort but sounds to me like it should be allowed. Basically they are going to save money since they won't have to pay for the minister because you'll have to arrange your own if the ceremony is off-site.

You will need to check with the resort.

Sometimes the included cake will only feed 8 people max and you have to pay for a larger one to feed all of your guests.

The free flowers are pretty basic and most brides upgrade them. You might end up paying for them any way. Yopu could always take high quality silks with you. That way you have what you want and can bring them back home. You can't bring live plants across the border.

I was going to mimic Erin's thoughts. Typically the free package is for a small group (4-8 people) so the cake won't be big enough for a larger group. And the free bouquet and bout at my resort were plain white roses.

On the other hand, your hotel can certainly set up a dessert and champagne or dessert and cocktail hour for you at a relatively reasonable rate.

Hope that helps!
