Henna or Mendhi Artist

Does anyone know of any henna or mendhi artists in the cancun/playa del carmen area? We're having an East Indian wedding and henna/mendhi is a big traditional aspect. We don't want to use those vendors that sell pre-made henna tattoos that you see in their catalogs...we're looking for an actual henna artist.

I actually don't know any but I just wanted to say that its so cool that your doing henna for your wedding. I love henna! Are you planning to have a henna party the day before? If you can't find someone do you have a friend or family member that could do it?

Yea..we're having a henna party the night before the wedding...of course, if the resort allows us to (which is a requirement of the resort). If the wedding turns out to be big, we dont want to impose on a family member/friend to do everyone's henna...considering it takes while because it's so intricate.

I'm having similar issues, except we're getting married in Jamaica. We may end up taking someone from the US who can do mehndi, sari draping and hair/makeup etc..obviously we have to pay for her travel, but it may work out in the end b/c she does a little bit of everything.
