cuba reservation problemss!!

okkkk so i just called the toll free number for the company that runs the resort im going to...it was the canadian toll free number but it was answered by people in Miami....so when the guy on the phone found out I was calling about a cuban resort he was like im sorry I know you are Canadian but there is no possible way for me to help you because I am American and can not even speak about cuban resorts....so in the end of it all I have to call a number in europe or cuba directly which will be expensive just wondering if anyone else has had this problem when trying to make reservations??
its kinda silly to have a canadian hotline if they still cant help me with reservations i am allowed to make....how is it fair to make me call long distance to europe?? sorry that was a rant i just am a little curious if anyone else has had this problem before??

Do you not have an email address for your WC? We did everything by email, you shouldn't need to call them at all. Ask your TA or search their website and see if you can find the email address you need.
