Wedding party issues...need opinion please

My friends and family knew about us wanting a destination wedding long before my FI's did. As a result my side was prepared for the financial burden of attending my wedding, his was not.
So four of my closest friends are going to be my bridesmaids, and he invited 7 friends...only three can come.
We had really high hopes one would be able to make it, but no such luck. So now I have four bridesmaids (and I don't feel like i can ask one of them to not be in the wedding) and he has three groomsmen. Is that going to be really weird? I know it'll look weird, but I don't know what else to do.

You will be fine!!! It will not look weird. If you search this forum, you will find PLENTY of past brides who did not have an even wedding party and plenty of brides-to-be who won't have one either. Don't let this stress you out at all.

If you think its really going to bother you, you can always have them sit in the first row before you come down the aisle, instead of standing next to you & FI.

But, I mean really, who's going to be counting

The focus will be on you & your FI so don't worry!!!

No it wont look weird you can have the groomsmen stand in front with FI and have the bridesmaids walk down the aisle alone.

Thats what Im going to do since I will be having more bridesmaids than groomsmen.

It will be fine. I've been to a lot of weddings at home that had odd number of attendants and it was fine.

I don't think it will be weird. I mean i think the point of having BM's and GM is becuase they are your nearest and dearest and if that doesn't make an even number then really who cares. ( I understand that we brides want a pretty pic but check in with yourself and see what's most important). Also, I was just in an uneven number of maids and I got to be one of two gals walking down with one very lucky gm. :)

Hi! I wouldn't worry. Ironically, of the 5 weddings I have been to in the past year, all except one had more gals than guys. In fact, I went to a very fancy wedding and there were 10 BMs and only 5 GMs.... it did not look funny at all! Each guy had 2 gals on his arm.
I think this is a lot better than asking extras to be in your wedding or leaving someone out... In fact, I may be asking one more so it will be 4 and 3 too. I'm just not feeling right leaving the one girl out!

This is the least of your worries!!!!

It will not look weird. Just have the grooms up front with FI or have two bridemaids walk down with the first groomsmen. I 2 bridesmaid and 3 groomsman. I will have the Bestman waiting with the FI and the other two will walk down with the bridesmaid.

you can't ask someone not to be in it at this point. i don't think it'll look weird at all. we had 3 bms and 2 bms and it was perfect.

Right now we have 2 girls and 3 guys that have said they will be there, but so far only the girls and one guy have evenbooked. I am going to give them to the end of the month I think to book and then they will be guests rather than bridal party. At first I was really worried about not having even numbers, but now I kinda want it to stay uneven.

Don't wory about it, everything will look fine and everyone will to busy watching the two of you rather than counting your wedding party.

I had 2 BM's and DH had none - it won't look weird!
