I find a lot of brides
are torn when it comes to registries. Some include a registry sheet with their invites, and others use word of mouth. Personally, if its a traditional cultural expectation then I see
nothing wrong with including a registry information sheet with the invite. It would simply state: Registry name (yours) and where it can be located(online). When guests make it to the website they'll get more information. Another thing you could do is mention it on your wedsite, as well as have your parents, and bridal party mention it to others (word of mouth).
P.S. In my mind a registry is a registry is a registry

If your guests are used to them, it won't matter the type- honeymoon, kitchen and bathroom, etc.
Good luck!
