Default Advice! Ceremony Location and Dinner in Vegas.

So I guess I'm looking for some advice (or maybe just affirmation).

I originally booked with Little Chapel of the Flowers and then decided to add the Valley of Fire Photos. After looking at the websites again, I saw that the Las Vegas Wedding Company lowered their price on the Valley of Fire delux package to $699 (plus $200 handling and taxes). They have a luxury $1/2M motorcoach with bathroom, air conditioned that takes you out their for the ceremony and pictures. My tiny wedding of 4 has turned into 10 including my grandmother. I want everyone to be comfortable getting out their and I like the idea fo the RV. They also give you all of your pictures on CD and the DVD (unedited) of the ceremony before you arrive back at the hotel.

I'm torn between this because I love the idea of my pictures on CD but haven't been able to find a ton of reviews on them. Any feedback?

Also, with 10 of us for dinner most places won't do anything private. I want to keep the expense to a minimum. The taste of everyone differ so if I chose something like Mexican I don't think my grandmother would be able to eat anything. I'm thinking about going to the Buffet at either Paris, Bellagio, or Wynn. The whole thing is going to be informal although I will be belllying up to the buffet in my wedding dress! What does anyone think?

We are doing everything very non-traditional anyway...My dress is champagne...I'm wearing a silk veil (not tulle)...we're seeing each other...no giving away...you get the idea.

I lived in Vegas for a while and my favorite restaurant is Firefly! It has the best food in town, fun atmosphere, its 5 mins off the strip and is open until 4am. It is tapas, so there is a little bit of everything for everyone and the best sangria!!! The place isn't huge, but you can sit outside or inside on Couches or in tables. So you can try to be somewhat private if you choose maybe the couch area. Here's the link:

FIREFLY* on Paradise Tapas Kitchen & Bar

Another one of my favorite locations is the Social House in Treasure Island: Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas - Restaurants
Great food and awesome atmosphere

Good Luck!

Check with Maggianos, we've done music for events there for 20-25 people, so they may do one of their smaller banquet rooms with 10.

Ask for Cassie, and if you don't mind please let her know we suggested it :)

If you do choose a buffet, Wynn is by far the best. Paris is a close 2nd especially if you like French food, breads, and soups.

Another one to add, we spent about 2 hours touring the Platinum Hotel & Spa with Leigh (pronounced Lee)... OMG this place is great.

The meeting rooms are very nice, clean, well-lit but are basic meeting rooms.

However, the Misora room and the restaurant/pool area are absolutely amazing.

We shot a wedding/reception there last Friday and are DJing a reception there on Sunday. The staff is GREAT.

I'd consider it a "boutique" ceremony/reception location since they don't have dozens of banquet rooms or 14 chapels.

I make it a rule to not talk about money when it's someone else's business to quote, but Leigh did tell us today that to get the restaurant (looks like it seats up to 100-125 or so, my guess) has only a $5000 minimum, PLUS you get the ENTIRE pool area (for ceremony and/or reception).

Leigh said today she's really looking for a B&G that would be willing to put plexiglass on the pool (leaving an inch or two of water on top, I'd assume) to do their wedding ceremony there. That may not be your cup of tea but it shows the creativity that she has!

Anyway, for 10 or so people, the $5000 minimum may not work, but there is a small room near the back of the restaurant that I'd assume you could use. Can't hurt to give her a call... and as always please let her know we sent you! (BTW we don't directly get anything for this recommendation but it can't hurt to help get her to recommend us!)

We will have our ceremony, take pictures , let the guest do some gambling with a cocktail in the meantime. (At the Wynn)
At 7.30 pm we meet up again and have dinner at the MGM.
We have a weddingparty of 8 including ourselves.

So a few changes have been made and now there is only 5 of us total. I decided to stick with the Little Chapel of the Flowers as no one could settle my mind about the video for the Desert locations. They all said that if the wind picks up (which it usually does) that you won't be able to hear the video.

I found the Mon Ami Gabi in the Paris Hotel who will give you a special table (there's only 5 of us so that was hard to find) and let us choose the food selections. There will print a menu with our names on it and Congratulations and have a bottle of champagne waiting for us for a toast. They'll do all of this for only $65-70 per person (excludes the champagne).

With a small wedding party no other place would do anything special so they are helping to make my day amazing!

I don't mean to be negative, but that must be because they aren't using the right equipment. Our videographer has never had problem with wind, whether outside of town, or on the strip (which gets very windy too).

The correct microphones and accessories would solve the problem.

I will say that the deal at the restaurant is AMAZING. I'm going to have to call them and check them out so I can feel comfortable recommending them!

And hey, I'm pretty sure you're one of the brides that we made Sticky Labels for at the Bridal Spectacular! It was very busy so I can't put email addresses/dates with faces but I'm sure we met when you picked up your labels! :)

For those of you that have been to the Firefly, is it a place that I would feel comfortable in a wedding dress? I have never been to a tapas restaurant before but I like the concept.

One of our recent brides invited us to the rehearsal dinner at Firefly and I think you'd feel comfortable in anywhere from business casual to a wedding dress. It's very laid back, yet upscale feeling.

Plus, you're getting MARRIED! :) You're supposed to be in a wedding dress!
