How should I cut my hair?? *pics*

So I have an appointment at five to finally cut my hair. It needs split ends cut and such. But I've worn the same style for a while. The chin length bangs to the side with long layers. I don't want it super short and DH doesn't want it short at all. Anyone have ideas. Here is how it looks now.

Heres how I usually wear it...when its wet I put it in a messy bun with bobby pins.

Thanks! I have too much volume...I straighten it to get rid of the volume in the heat.

I think thats what I'm gonna do. Heres the pic for inspiration. I'm gonna go longer than this though and probably the bangs. My DH just said he's gonna cry. and I'm pretty sure I will too. It took me from 2002 to get my hair this long. But the split ends and breakage are killing me. I will post pics upon my return. THANKS!

I love the one that SassyBride had: Click the image to open in full size.

I agree with Davematthews - you might want to not go too short right away. Anyway, your hairdresser may not let you. LOL! Usually they will ask you to come back for a shorter style in a week or two. That's what happened to me when I cut my hair off in high school. It was below my butt and I went to shoulder length. I had to go back 3 x!

Good luck - can't wait to see the cut :)

So I went with a drastic change. First a little backstory....when I was a senior in highschool I dyed my hair red. I had been a blonde blonde up till then. I hated the red so I tried to dye it back blonde. Well since then my hair (natural) has changed colors. I knew it would b/c my older sister went from blonde blonde to almost brunette.

So when I went to the salon I asked the lady how I could get back to my natural hair color. So we cut my hair first and deep conditioned it and then she matched my natural roots and dyed it. It is so much darker than I have EVER been. But I LOVE IT! My hair feels so light and healthy and I love the color. It's called medium ash blonde and is suppose to fade in the next few days or so so it will be a little lighter. And I don't have to dye my hair again!! I didn't style it so the pictures of just of it dryed and brushed. I will probably curl it under when I style it. And you can barely see the bangs. They are just above my ear. And she razored in some layers in the back which you can't tell either. I need to work with it. Thanks for all your help girls!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
