Hey April....
i am a little late in finding this post. but please follow your heart. dont listen to your FMIL. You might want to write a letter or email telling her why you are going with what you want and then continue with your plans. Right now all your concern should be on your wedding with the man that you love and most importantly concentrating on your dad getting well. I hope it helps. Hang in there.
