Punta Cana - Summer or Fall?

I have been to The Dominican 26 times. I have been there in almost every month and definatly every season. I choose April for my own wedding as this is one of the nicest months. Its dry season and its warm in the days without to much humidity. Remember from June 1 to November 1 is hurricane season and you will be taking a chance. Historically the majority of tropical storms and hurricanes that have hit the DR have been in late Sept and early October. But remember the weather is changing all over the world. I was there 4 weeks ago and we had tropical storm Fay pass over us.

So typically if your booking for the best chance at weather I would suggest you look at late November to mid May,keeping in mind high season is the last 3 weeks of December and then again Feb to begining of April. Also the pools and ocean can be quite cool in January thru end of Feb
