Question Any Pet Friendly Hotels/Resorts/Villas around the RM area???

I'm having my wedding at El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya. All my guests are staying with us, except for 2 people from my bridal party. My maid of honor has 2 small pugs that she wishes to take with her to Mexico. And also, one of my bridesmaids has a small shitzu that she needs to take with her as well. My resort does not accomodate pets of any size. So we're having some trouble with this one. Does anyone know of a nearby hotel that they can stay in with their pets. I'm thinking it might not have to be within the RM, just as long as it's close enough where they won't be running late the day of my wedding..., please help.

TIA,

Linda

Hey Linda!

No judgement but why do they have to bring their pets?

Seriously!
But no I can totally put myself in their shoes, as I have a few pets of my own and can totally understand them for needing to bring them along. My MOH's 2 pugs I guess you can say are spoiled rotten..lol, but they also can't be left alone in the house. And I know she would never consider leaving them in a pet hotel . My Bridesmaid's shitzu was recently adopted from a shelter. She was physically & mentally abused before by her previous owners, so she is still VERY AGGRESIVE & DANGEROUS. I feel so bad for them both cause they're really worried about how inconvienient this is for me . I love them both for their dedication towards their pets, but I'm really having a hard time with this one...hmmm

you need to check with your airline about bringing the dogs back from mexico...there might be a quarantine ...this might be more stressful for the dogs than being in a kennel or getting a pet sitter.
you should look at renting a house or apartment for your guests with dogs...
good luck
