Hey girls!
OK so I finally heard back from Tait today. Here is the email I got: Hi Heather,
Thanks for contacting me and organizing a possible boudoir marathon for Toronto. The sitting fee per person would be $225.
I can also offer these two options as well:
Session + Disc of High resolution images: $475
Session + Album with 10 images: $475
There is no maximum number of girls, we can accommodate all that are interested. However if there were at least 10 I could reduce the price to $200.
About what month or time of year are you interested in having the sessions done?
Usually I am able to arrange a makeup artist in the $80 range. Do you think you would be interested in having a makeup artist?
If you think there is interest I will look into hotels to hold it at. Do you have any suggestions?
OK so there's the info! Thoughts?

I don't know what my thoughts are lol I don't know how much a BD session is supposed to cost so I guess I have nothing to really compare to.
I did notice that they said $80 for a makeup artist, but on the website it had said $80 for hair & makeup at other locations. That kinda sucks.
Do we find a hotel location ofor them to use? And do we have to pay for it, or do the photographers pay for it?
Sorry for all the questions. I bet you don't even know some of the answers! lol
What does everyone else think?? Are people still interested??

Hmm, I don't know those answers, but I can ask when I send the next email back. I think the price is pretty standard for BD photos but I'm not 100% sure. Other girls - are you still interested now that we have this info? If not I won't even bother writing them back, but if we are, then I can ask some more questions if we want...

Hi, thanks for all the info!
I believe it is standard as the sitting fees are typically $200-$275, however they would come with a disc of photos included. (based on some of the websites I have been to) Am I understanding that it is $475 for the photos as well? Or if you don't want them in an album form, how does it work? I think the $225 is very reasonable if we are receiving at least some digital copies of photos. If we are going to pay per print on top of that I am not sure.
I have done a few photoshoots before as I have a few photographer friends, and makeup artists are in and around $60 for a shoot, so either we could use the one they locate or we could probably find our own for a little less. I think it all depends though, the makeup professional at the salon I go to is $100 per hour, so I don't know how long the makeup application would actually take.
I am not too worried about that, or the sitting fee, just want some more info on the photos in terms of how they are provided to us, can we have them printed ourselves, etc.

I am definitely still interested. For me, it will depend mainly on timing. Thanks for looking into this, Heather!

No problem! I just sent them another email with the above questions. Judging by their previous response time I'll probably hear back by about Friday, haha. I'll keep everyone posted!
Edit: Oh, I told them Feb-Mar 09 timeframe...?

I'm totally interested, the price I was going to pay when I was going to do them in Van was $700 and it only included 10high res photos...so $475 with the disk I think is a deal!

Heather - I am glad to see that things might work out for them to head out your way. I am still waiting to hear when they are scheduling the BD Marathon in Edmonton, probably within the next month. Yikes, I better get a bit more motivated! LOL.
I don't have answers to all your questions, but I believe there is the session fee and then you can choose an album or get the disc or what not for additional $. When I was looking around it was basically going to be a minimum of $500 anywhere in order to get an album, so these prices looked decent to me. As for the hotel room, they cover the cost of that. Since she does the marathon, each session is about 1 - 1.5 hours long and back to back, so she spends all day in the hotel room taking pics. This way you don't need to worry about renting the room like some other BD photogs get you to do. I am sooo excited to get my date. I hope everything works out for you guys.
