Smile Florist in Oahu?

We are looking for a florist in Honolulu. My daughter and I were able to visit 1 florist recommended to us, but we didn't have a great feeling. He kept asking us what our budget was and we told him at least 3 times we weren't sure, that we didn't even know how many table centerpieces we would need. We told him the flowers we would like to use, showed him some pictures and told him that we would probablly have six top tables to try to get a round about figure for how much one centerpiece would cost. He still would come back with the question of "What's your budget"? Is this the normal way florists work? If anyone has some suggestions of florists in Oahu to contact, please send me the information, I could use some help!

Hi Pamster,

I am using Watanabe Floral. We are only having a legal ceremony so I only got the bouquet, lei and maile from them. But they have been recommended several times at another forum and they are reasonable in price. You can google them and Rona will be great to work with. I will be able to post my full review after our wedding in August.

Jess

I've got a few florists on my supplier list in Oahu. Most were referred to me by a good friend who is the sales mgr at the Halekulani. So they're definately reputable. PM me with your email and I'll send you some names.

Budget can be a big factor, and an important issue to figure out before doing consultations because many vendors require a "minimum" budget to work with.

Even though Hawaii is very tropical, we still need to import most of our flowers in for the Weddings. I was blown away when i bought a single Cynbinium orchid for $5 (i know is spelled it wrong, but its a tough name)

Its good to have a ballpark figure and some examples of arrangements you like. This will help them design a solution that is right for your specific floral needs.

You can PM me for a list of my recommend florists,
Shawn
