Hey Ladies!!!
So here is my “sort of” planning thread. A few people have been asking about my location, etc because I’ve been able to plan the whole thing w/ such a small budget. Our original budget is $5500 although unless I find some stuff I can’t deal w/out we’ve spent $4650. My FFIL and FMIL are paying for our travel down to Akumal, and covering our accommodation for 2 weeks.
So… it all started w/ a ring (not in the budget cause fiancé paid for it already). It’s so hard to take a clear picture!
Here’s a picture I found online of the whole set.
Here is Joe’s ring:
Here are our invites thanks to all the lovely ladies on here!!! The passport is the actual invite and the boarding passes have all the info.
We are having our ceremony out in front of the Cannon House. There is no fee for our ceremony sight because we are having our reception at the Hotel Akumal Caribe ( Hotel Akumal Caribe). Here’s a photo of the ceremony sight:
Then our reception is in the North Pala on the beach. The Lol-Ha restaurant will be catering for us. Our guests will all be served ceviche and spinach artichoke dip. They have a choice of Yucutan lime soup, house salad, or Caesar salad. Then they have a choice of Pork Poc Chuk, Grilled Pork Chops, Tampiquena Beef, or Mango Chicken. The total for our reception came up just under $2000.Here’s a pic
Continuing....

Here’s one side on the inside of the palapa. We are going to have the tables around the outside so we can dance in the middle. The palapa has its own sound system and dj equipment so FBIL is going to be our dj. We’re going to be hanging lanterns throughout to lower the ceiling a bit.
Here is the bar inside the palapa
Our tables will have white tablecloths with aqua blue runners, pink napkins and chair tyes. Here is our centerpiece inspiration (along the runner):
Here are our chairs and ties
These are our flowers. They are just like these, but instead of the white callas there will be hot pink callas, the green stay the same, and the orchids are off-white instead of green. We’re very excited about them. Sharon Nagassar is doing them. Our total for our flowers (includes shipping) is $320.
Here is my bouquet:

I'm such a freak about getting done. I'm working on my doctorate of pharmacy and I have a 3 month old so I don't have much time to plan during the school year. And once the school year is over our wedding is only a couple months away.

Everything looks great. I love the flowers and your dress is beautiful! I also like how you put the passport and the boarding pass invites together. I haven't seen that done before, but it is a really cute idea!
