Default What I did with my candle/starfish flower pick

For our wedding we got a beautiful Mikasa bowl and I wanted to do something cool with it - so I put our unity candle in it, filled it with shells from our AHR and stuck my starfish flower pick in it. I love looking at it - seriously when I was done I just sat there and stared at it for awhile! It brings back so many memories! LOL the wedding was only 3 months ago!! Anyways here are some pics

How pretty!

What a great way to "recycle"! I've been wondering what to do with all of our stuff. I know that it is really exciting now, but I know at some point I'll get tired of looking at wedding stuff, LOL

thats a great idea betsy!

the starfish I had broke, but I still had the starfish and I made it into a pin, I wore it to a xmas party last year, it looked really pretty!

but I really like your idea, I have a bunch of shells and sea glass left over from our wedding and have been saving it so I can do something with it, maybe I'll have to throw the starfish in too!

Pretty Betsy. Great idea to use some of those wedding items to create a nostalgia. :)

I have kind of been going overboard w/ our wedding stuff! I just love looking at it! I sort of created a wedding shrine (that's what Aaron calls it) meaning I put pics from our wedding into frames and totally redecorated our family room! But come on - who doesn't love looking at wedding pictures! And when we are old and grey won't we love remembering when!! I think so! LOL!
