Question veil or no veil-that is the question

What's everyone doing with regards to a veil. I have to wear my hair up due to humidity and texture of hair but I'm undecided on a veil.
I would love to have flowers in my hair but I would also love to have a veil.
I'm afraid both would be too much.

Any suggestions?

I'm not planning on wearing one. I did however get some really pretty hair screws to go into my hair for the wedding. I also didn't think I would feel like a bride without a veil, but the dress was enough for me. I think a flower would also be really pretty.

I am undecided in this aswell. I would go to a bridal store and try some on. Take some pictures and see how you feel. I tried some on and felt it kind of took away from my dress.

If you want both then I would do a veil for the ceremony and then have the flowers placed in my hair for the reception. Just see if you have a friend who is good with hair that can place your flowers in for you.

I'm in the same boat as you. I want a flower in my hair and am still deciding about the veil. I plan on making my decision when I go for my fitting in a couple of weeks. If I wear a veil, this will be my something borrowed from my sister. I don't want to spend money on it.

When I was planning out what to wear, I debated about the veil, since I had already chosen the flowers for my hair. I took the flowers into the bridal salon when I got my dress and one of the ladies working there brought over a veil and stuck it underneath my makeshift bun. It ended up looking really nice.
I only used the veil during the ceremony.

It was a bit hard to find pics that showed the veil and the flowers really well. Most of the professional pics show the front of me.

Here is a pic during the ceremony which shows how the small veil tucked under my hair worked really well with the flowers. Also, since the veil was pretty short, it did not fly all around with the breeze.

And here's a pic from the back.

Hope this helps you guys out! I saw buy the flowers if you are set on them, and then try it on at home with a small veil see how it looks.

I also went without a veil, but I am not really a veil kind of girl. I also didn't wear white shoes/diamond earrings/etc. I was glad I put a flower in my hair at the last minute. It would have been boring without it!
