Make these for the kids' OOT bags!!
The kiddos will love them.
Anyone know of any patterns for these?
I've seen kids with a duck one and I've also seen a frog. Any other ideas for cute animals you could make into a hooded towel of cuteness?

I've seen them for sale in like target or walmart...if you aren't a sewer, you might be better off buying them made :)

Those are really cute. And they can't be that hard...
I know that JoAnn offers sewing classes. My mom actually got me a sewing machine for my shower gift. I haven't used it yet, but I'm so excited to have it!

I wouldn't have thought you would have to be a fantastic sewer to make those - why not get a cheap beach towel and have a go - whats the worst that can happen

I'm just sitting here and my mind is wandering.
so, if you were to take a regular beach towel (a square towel would be better, but whatever)...
and chop off one corner so that the new edge was about a foot long....
and then take a hand towel in the same fabric and cut it across diagonally....
and then flip one side so that it was kite shaped...
and then sew the two short edges onto the newly cut edge on the beach towel...
you'd pretty much have the shape you wanted. There'd be a big point on the hood, so you'd probably want to cut the point off and finish the edge...
Let me see if I can come up with something....
