Ok well not a total DIY project, but before I went on a tour through Europe last summer I found these fabulous FREE printout pocketguides in every language imaginable online.
You print them out on regular sized paper (quality of your choice), do some minimal cutting and then fold them into small guides that you can give to every guests. I will surely be putting Spanish guides in my OOT bags for my DW in Mexico. They are super cute also and have all the necessary phrases!!!

damn! those are great, and are what i had in mind for a DIY project before i found (and bought) really cheap books YESTERDAY (52 cents each, including shipping). sure, i got a bargain, but these are cuter, probably more useful, and FREE!
