I have been checking tickets to Cancun almost daily since its been available for my wedding week and I just saw it got $363 today. Its been in the $500s for the most part so far... My wedding is May 23, 2009, so its about 10 months out. Should I just go for it and buy the tickets? Its like playing limbo or something.
Another thing is that I'm not sure if we are going to stay in Mexico a couple extra days for a "honeymoon" yet... I tried reading all the fine print about changing flights... but its too much for me. I know all airlines are different and stuff so I will probably just call AA before I book.
Is there any guideline as when is the best time to buy airfare?

Hello there Bianca my date twin!
From NYC that is really low. I paid $550 rt when I went in June for a site visit. But yesterday I checked it just to see what was going on and it was $480. That's pretty good! flight attendant friend of mine tells me to check prices on Mon and Weds. Also, if you can flyout on those days cause they tend to be less expensive.

We're getting married the same day and I'm keeping my eyes on airfare as well. Luckily, St Lucia's flights stay pretty steady, so I don't think I have a lot to worry about. I would recommend deciding when you want to return before booking your flights. It's a good incentive to make that decision.

I might go ahead and buy my parents tickets. Buying the airfare just makes it so official... I've put down some deposits... but its still not hitting me... I need to decide what FI and I are going to do. Ahhhh!!! $363 is pretty cheap. I don't think I've seen it that low. I just requested a discount thingy for wedding groups so I hope I get that soon and I can use it!

I would say buy it. I paid 350 to Cabo in May and now looking for Xmas it is 758 and for my wedding in April it is 550....OUCH

That is very cheap from what I've seen. I would suggest you book it asap! I wish my prices would go down that low!

That's really cheap, better than my TA got me and I got a good rate. I say go for it... and stay a few extra days for a honeymoon!
