I lucked out with mine. I didnt want to spend more than 2 bucks on each bag but I really didnt want the disposable gift bags. I found these at the Dollar Tree and then visited a few more dollar trees to collect 34 of them. Yes, they were only a dollar each and they are pretty nice. I wouldnt use it as a purse or anything but its DEFINITELY nice enough for guests to use to take down to the pool or to the beach. And for the single guys, I am still giving them each one of these but of course they wont use them. They can give it away or chuck it since it was so cheap!!

In the bag, I am putting some water, maps, a welcome letter, some pesos for cab fare since I am not providing any transportation and then maybe some chapstick, chips, salsa, and our favor cd that has some songs that will be played at the wedding.

Ann I can't post a pic yet b/c I haven't gotten mine yet. I will either get the palm leaf bags or depending on how many guests I have I may do the luggage that Christine posted on another post. (I fell in love with them) If I don't do either of these ideas then I will do a plain gift bag (like the kind you get in Hallmark for someone's b-day) and place a monogram on it along with some tissue paper and call it a swag bag (so that my guests can feel like celebrities). I am going to include the following things in my bag:

1. Friends/Sex & The City DVD

2. lip balm (thanks to your great idea)

3. Water bottles with custom made labels

4. plastic toy water guns

5. medicine

6. mini suntan lotion

7. flip flops (either in this bag or in a basket at my reception)

8. disposable camera

9. custom t-shirts (only for the girls)

10. a double CD (one side with songs my FI likes and one with songs I like)

11. the picture makeup bags (but only for my BMs)

12. Koozies (only for the guys)

13. terry cloth cover ups from Target (only for my BM)

14. I may get cheap sunglasses from chinatown for the guys

15. I am going to make my own celebrity magazine (modeled after US Weekly)with news about all my guests including pics. I thought it could be fun to update everyone on what's been going on with everyone's life.

What do you mean YOUR not creative enough?!! Your so creative. Look at your gorgeous STDs. You can totally use a computer program to do a layout and just use pics and print. You could do People En Espanol or Hola! or something like that. And I know Spanish people love soap operas and the gossip that goes along with it. You could use soap opera names as titles or put a section called El Gordo Y La Flaca and put fun facts about your guests. I'm sure they would love it. And I am the least creative person on this board, if I can do it, anyone can.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
