Hey Everyone,
Kinda new on here so forgive me....
I am looking for somewhere for May 2009 and having such a hard time deciding. I am still waiting to hear back from Dreams Cancun as my first choice but are thinking about Blue Bay or Gran Caribe as back ups. Any suggestions to try make this easier. I do like the Cancun nightlife, shopping etc... but am finding with 60 ppl (incl kids) that not all resorts on the Hotel strip are able to accomodate.
Help!! This is sooo stressful! LOL  |

Are you using a TA or booking directly with the hotel? With 60 people, I'm sure you can get a discount. What kind of problems are you running into with them not accomodating your group?
Another option if you want to stay close to shopping and nightlife is Playa del Carmen.
Hang in there! Once you decide and book the resort, it's such a weight lifted off your shoulders!

I recently stayed at the Gran Caribe (Feb) and it is a great hotel, especially with kids. My friend also recently got married at the BBGE and she said it was beautiful and easy (in terms of planning etc.). However, she only had about 8 guests, so it may be different. I think you're going to have to decide on location first - like me!

Thanks for the advice! Nice to know I am not the only one out there with such a hard decision to make! :) I will hear back from Dreams hopefully this week so that I know if this is even an issue. Fingers Crossed!!!!

I am looking into a wedding with kids for about the same time, and am considering near Playa del Carmen for the shopping / night life etc. You could take a look at Iberostar Tucan or Quetzal might work for you, or else Gran Porto Real. They are all close to Playacar.
