If this is in the wrong place i'm happy for a mod to move it.
Ok so I had originally decided to get married at 1pm but then we decided to move it to 4pm because;-
1) we could lol
2) aunt is diabetic and not good with heat
3) i'm really fair and wearing black !
So co-ordinator has finally come back to me and confirmed that 4pm is fine but that it will still be really hot and suggested 6pm!!
I'm worried that the light will be crap for photos etc - any thoughts anyone?

i think that by the time the ceremony will be done and everything, you are right, lighting will not be great. i had my wedding at 4 and by the time the ceremony was over and pics were done, the sun was getting very low. i think 4 is a better choice.

it'll be hot all day so you might as well stick with 4 so you can get your shots. Make sure you wear a lotta sunblock.

Hey Harty, we are getting married at 6pm. This is what Claudia wrote to me back when I set my date:
1.- Time: I suggest you 6:00 or 7 p.m. in May gets dark @ 7:45 p.m., probably a 6 or 6:30 p.m. ceremony would work perfect.

Ah cheers for that - I wondered what time it would get dark - when we went last time it was dark by 5.30!!
Think we are going with 4 tho just so that the guests still have some night left after the reception

my TA gave me a great site to check out sunset/sunrise times... Welcome to Weather Underground : Weather Underground
you can get info for everywhere in the world including historical data.
As for pics before hand... My vote is no, keep yourself as an aisle surprise.
As for doing it at one oclock, maybe you could try for 3 - then have enough time for photos.
