Any weddings at Secrets Capri?

We are seriously considering Secrets Capri for our March 2009 wedding. I've done searches, but there is very little about the resort on here. Does anyone know of (or has anyone seen) a wedding there?

I realize it's AI and Adults Only which doesn't make it an option for lots of people, but I'm hoping someone (even on their honeymoon) has been there and observed a wedding :)

The travel reviews on other sites (trip advisor, travelocity) have been great - but none mention a wedding.

Thanks for any opinions!

We vacationed there last summer and it was absolutely wonderful. We did see several weddings being set up, and they looked beautiful. However, the gazebo is right by the pool and wasn't very private. The beach location seemed to be more private.

The atmosphere, food, service, etc... were exceptional. We would definitely have considered having our wedding there if my young nephews weren't coming.

Thanks for the reply! Did you enjoy the beach - I've seen some reports that it's a bit small.

I was also considering Secrets Capri, but I ultimately decided on EDR due to the lack of privacy with the Secrets gazebo.

Hi! I photographed a beach wedding at Secrets Capri last summer. It is a very nice location...they had a very odd photographer policy at that time, but I understand that has changed since. The wedding was on the beach and the reception by the pool/gazebo. I didn't notice any privacy issues at all.

Hello! I'm supposed to be having a wedding at Secrets Capri in April. Although, currently, I'm more confused than anything. Of course when you look at TripAdvisor you don't want to ever see bad reviews of a place, but they worry me for some reason. There are some on there that mention weddings, and they have all be good reviews. My main concern i think is the way all the wedding options are presented are very cookie cutter and if i try to change anything i'm afraid i'm not going to get the benefit of buying one of their "wedding packages". I've been told because it's a DW i have to deal and not get things that i want, but i disagree! If anyone decides on Secrets Capri let me know and we can trade info/experiences!

We are getting married there on 2/9/09. We went this February to check it out, and LOVED IT!!! Everything was top notch, the service, the food, and Alejandra the wedding cordinator.

I'm getting married at Secrets Capri on Dec. 6 '08 and will be having my ceremony, cocktail hr, and reception on the beach. I have been working with Alejandra for awhile now and they seem to be very accommodating for details that I want to have that are not included in their packages. If you know what you want and can provide examples & pictures, they are willing to help provide those things for you (some items might be at an additional cost of course). But Alejandra is very responsive to my emails, so if you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to shoot over a quick email to get all the answers you need. Also, you can PM me if you have any other questions too.

Secrets Capri is wonderful- you'll really enjoy it there!

When I was there I saw them setting up for a wedding on both the beach and also at the gazebo. I loved that they had the runner on the beach lined with shells and starfish!

I've never had a complaint from any of the clients that I've sent there- they all come back with glowing reviesw! But you have to want a smaller to moderate size intimate resort ! If you want something a little more active I'd recommend Excellence Riviera Maya!
