Default Beach wedding location

Hi,
Currently trying to select a location and could use some help. If we chose Belize we would be coming in by cruise ship. Here is what we are looking for:

- NOT touristy
- Quiet, small beach ceremony
- A fun place to have a lunch reception, not formal. Something like this:
la cueva del chango
- Lush foliage for pictures

Any places near the port in Belize come to mind? Thanks, Carla :)

Default Re: Beach wedding location

Hey,

My suggestion would be to be married on Ambergris Caye. Ambergris is touristy - but you can go to a more isolated location.

Victoria House is my favorite place for a beachfront ceremony in Belize. They have lush, tropical grounds. It is very quiet and private. Even if they are booked at full capacity - the guests would be unobtrusive. Victoria House is on the south end of the island, so once you are actually on the island you can get there by taxi.

But...another great place is Mata Chica. Their grounds are quite as lush - BUT - they have a beautiful beachfront. And their interiors remind me a lot of the website that you provided. Mata Chica is on the north end of the island so once you are on the island you need to take a boat to get there.

Feel free to email if you have any questions about the island or Belize! I would be happy to answer them.

:)
