sooooo....I am getting married on January 17, 2009 at the Barcelo Maya Palace. I think I just read that someone is getting married there on the 10th so we need to be in close contact in Jan :)
I ordered my dress last week. Wont be here until late November.
80 STD's went out two weeks ago. I posted them somewhere on here but dont know how to find and paste the link. Our website is up and running. I'm only using it for travel information, not cutesy things about us (don't have the time unfortunately to make it more than it is...in addition to planning a wedding im in the process of opening a restaurant....arggggh) Feel free to check us out at Joy Arnold & Derrick Russell's Wedding Website - WedQuarters. We are going on a site visit at the end of June because the lack of communication with the TA has me slighlty worrried...but also because we need a vacation! I imagine that once I return, I wil have a whole set of planning projects for me to worry about. I am going to send out invites only to those who have booked...will do sometime in late October. Why? because I love the excitement :) |

We have our first 4 people booked and I am sooo excited!!! :)
I'm thinking we are going to go to the printer sooner rather than later to order the invitations, since half my family thinks my STD's were the invitations LOL.
We are sending out between 140-150 invitations. Most are to "and Family" and that brings our number to over 300. We're expecting 50-75 people :) If we get more...Awesome! We are very much "the more the merrier" type people, so we are the weird people who don't mind when guests are like "can I bring...."
I'm soooosooo excited but am not allowed to talk to FI about anything, we had a huge fight the other night because he thinks I'm going "overboard" even though I've yet to do anything other than talk LOL So I figured I'd just keep talking to all you ladies.
We were going to look at BM dresses this thursday, but plans changed and we are going next thurs.

Who have you looked into for photogs? We are going with Sol Tamargo. I LOVE LOVE LOVE her pictures. Haven't put the deposit down yet, but that is next on our list of things to do. Sol Tamargo Photography Wedding Photojournalism She is also on this forum.
Update: We booked Sol today!  I am soooo excited. And we got some calls from people who received their STD's and they LOVE them.
