Great idea, no need for a thread, mom is Russian, her English is somewhat rusty, she'll believe me, especially since I talk about the forum all the time. It would be funny though if we posted the thread and everyone liked the idea and we started a trend of gloves in Mexico :). I'm going back and forth about the tiara, I would rather have flowers in my hair, but i might still do the tiara. Definitely NO on the gloves. Thanks for your support and sorry about the whinning.

PixyDust,
Thank you for the compliment on my dress!
I think it's ok to have a princess type dress because you are after all, the bride!!! : ) It's all preference.
I bet it is beautiful!!
I chose to go a little more less fancy because my FI is dressing down a bit.
I also am going to wear this dress again at our party back in Buffalo, so that's another reason why I chose to go wih a more flowy dress.
I know you are going to look beautiful!! Can't wait to see pics!

We leave for Mexico on June 16 and are getting married June 20 at 4 pm.
We are honeymooning at Secrets Capri (about 30 min south of MP) from June 21 - June 26.

I hope this wasn’t too much but I just wanted to share!

We are having a fairly large reception the week after our honeymoon, June 28th, back in Texas. It is the same theme as the Mexico wedding but more ‘midsummer nights dream.’ We've done everything ourselves so I have no idea how I haven't lost my mind! I live in Philadelphia, my dad in Ohio, my Mom in Texas and the wedding in Mexico...all put together in 6 months! Go us! haha We'll see I guess...let me know if yall need anything!

Yes. We decided to use the resort photog because we are having a "professional" photog at our reception back in Texas. I'm not worried about it at all though...my mom is bringing an awesome camera and Betsy's pictures were great!! I'm just excited that we'll be there in 2 WEEKS!!!! I will most defintely post pictures because I know how much it helps in the planning process!

Good luck to everyone!

Sharla, I love your color scheme, everything looks great! You make me want to start some DIY projects :) The ribbon-wrap thingy on the flowers is awesome... I'm sure it has some fancy "wedding" name but I am not that savvy!

Good luck with everything :)

Sharla, thank you so much for the pictures, they're beautiful, I love your color scheme, its so elegant. Love, love your dress, one of my BMs is getting married next year and she has been looking at that dress. Couple of questions: 1. are you taking those centerpieces to Mexico or are those for the AHR, if you are taking them to Mexico, how are you getting them there in terms of packing? 2. I saw your BM flowers, I'm assuming they are silk, are you getting a real flower bouquet for yourself at the MP or are you also using silk? I want to get a calla lilly bouquet from MP and want to make sure it is available and also included in the package. Thank you again for posting those pics, you must be so excited, 2 weeks.
