We booked a non-stop flight from JFK to Punta Cana...our TA tells me today that the schedule changed and we'll now have a layover in San Juan. Has this happened to anyone? Also, would we get a lower fare bc theres a connection now or not really?

That does suck. I'm sorry! Unfortunately, this happens fairly often with airlines changing their schedules. There isn't much you can do about it. I don't believe you will get a lower fare now. When I was a TA this was one thing I dreaded. I would check my computer for schedule changes and they would send them all over at one time so I would have to make all of these phone calls to clients all at once telling them their schedule changed. Did you use a TA? if you did, do you know if you paid for your ticket in full or did the TA gold a bulk ticket for you with just a deposit?

That sucks, I'm sorry! Unfortunately they will not give you your money back. I'm guessing there aren't other non-stop flights from JFK to PUJ.

AA changed our flight like 3 times from the time we booked to the wedding. OMG, talk about stressing me out! We got to the airport and ended up being late because we didn't know about the last change.
