Riu Palace wedding pictures and TTD pictures

Hi everyone,

I would like to share with you my pictures from Riu Palace wedding and Trash the Dress session at the Lover’s Beach that I photographed at the end of April in Los Cabos.

This was my second time shooting a wedding at the Riu Palace resort and third time in Los Cabos since December 2007.

From my experience, I always enjoyed staying and working at this resort and never had any problems/complaints about service in general and the way they organize weddings.

I arrived two days before the wedding and I had a lot of time to scout and see new spots that I haven’t used before.

On the wedding day, April 28th, I started photographing the bride getting her hair done at the Renova Spa at the resort. She was very pleased with the hairstyle they did for her.

After the spa I took some pictures of the bride getting ready in her room. The bride’s room was a perfect location – you could see the ocean and the gazebo where the ceremony took place later.

The couple decided to have the gazebo ceremony – the beach seemed to be less private.

The ceremony was at 4pm and I think this is the perfect time.

I had the pleasure of meeting Marco (marcoloscabos) who was the minister for the ceremony. He was great to work with, he joked and made the bride and groom laugh which was perfect to catch some candid shots of them ☺

I took most of the family photos right after the ceremony at the lawn beside gazebo with the ocean as the backdrop and I find it is better then shooting on the beach, because the beach is still busy around 5pm.

With the small group like this I was able to spend more time taking pictures of just bride and groom. I took them to various spots around the resort and I think this resort has some cool locations.

We were back to Mexican Restaurant (San Jose) for the reception around 6:30 pm.

The bride and groom had a private reception on the terrace of the restaurant for their 16 guests. The place was booked until 11 and that gave the guests enough time to dance, congratulate bride and groom and dance more.

Yes, I remember your sister and her husband. I photographed their TTD session in Los Cabos in March. We went all over the place - Cabo San Lucas, Riu Santa Fe Resort and San Jose Del Cabo for pictures.

I have been going back and forth to Los Cabos, and I know your sister wanted you to have a photoshoot with me too. So if you are planning on going back one year later for your wedding anniversary we should definitely do Trash the Dress session.
