Cabo Activities

Recommended Posts

We wanted to recommend and potentially plan some activities for our guests. A golf scramble, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, etc.

We are getting married at Dreams, so maybe they have enough to do there?

Does anyone have any Cabo activity or place that was a highlight?

Thanks for your help!!!

Jill

We went snorkeling on the Pez Gato for an afternoon while in Cabo. We booked through our hotel so I'm not sure how else you could find the info. I think it was approx 50 or 60 USD each & we had a great time!

The staff was amazing too - they rescued my cowboy hat from the ocean after it blew off while I drunkenly danced to the YMCA (LOL) & had lotion for myself and another woman who ended up with tiny jellyfish stings.

They had a small buffet of assorted sandwiches & delicious chips & salsa! Nothing fancy, but it was all pretty tasty!

I just noticed you are from Appleton, Wisconsin. My (now) husband is from Chilton. Some of our guests were from Appleton - funny!

We planned some fun activities for our guests -

Snorkerling at Chileno Bay (just a couple of miles from Dreams). It was so fun, the water was beautiful.

Lover's beach - Everyone loved taking water taxis and relaxing on the beach.

Deep sea fishing - 10 of our guests did this (take off from the Marina) and then we ate fresh tuna, and mahi mahi for dinner that night.

Los Cerritos - My Husband and I rented suburbans and took 18 of us to this amazing surfing, and hanging out beach. We drove ourselves (which some people don't feel comfy with, for obvious reasons).

Dreams should be able to help you with coordinating anything you're interested in.

Dreams has various daily activities including a pub crawl on some nights. We went snorkling with a few family members (after most of our guests had left). We hopped on a bus and the beach was very close. I believe it was approx $20 pp. That included fins/mask and a fresh snorkel which you could keep. (snorkel only) Very fun! Their entertainment group is a bunch of great people..

They also had many different tour companies working in the front lobby that can help set up different excursions.

OH, we spent an afternoon at Lover's Beach too & it was great! Cost us $10 each for the water taxi there & back. The driver even gave us a tour of the arches & pointed out some cool things we wouldn't have even noticed! I bet if you had a group to go you could get an even better deal! We brought our own water & beer, but there was a family with a HUGE cooler selling them for a reasonable price!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
