So a friend of my mom's is offering her her time share to stay at for the wedding. While I am leaning towards just having her stay at Dreams with us and just pay for it (I was planning on this anyway) - I wanted to at least check it out. This is all she really knows about the place so far ...
"Betty's place is Plaza Las Glorias. I believe they have 4 different hotels there but I have no clue about location. From Betty’s brochure, they are Continental Plaza Vallarta, Villas Plaza Vallarta, Plaza Las Glorias Puerta Vallarta and Sierra Nuevo Vallarta"
Is anyone familiar with this place?

I just checked my timeshare catalog through RCI and no luck. That's odd too since they work with a lot of properties. Have you looked online for additional pictures?
Furthermore, it's nice that your mom's friend offered but keep in mind that she may be further away from all of the activities. Especially, if other family will be on property. Maybe mom can stay an extra week and use it.

Yeah my parents and Aunt & Uncle have a time share and were talking about trading it to use in Cabo and I asked them not to. I think it would work out OK but would rather not have to have them driving around from timeshare to the hilton for the entire trip. It seems like it will be more fun and easier to have them at the same place with us - that way everyone is together.

I know - I really think I do want her close to me. But the thought of free lodging is somewhat appealing (since we'll be paying for her, my choice). But in the end - I think I want mom real close by! I thought I'd find out what I could about this place though before deciding. Thanks!

well since i think she can only stay 2-3 nights, it probably wouldn't even be worth it to stay elsewhere. she's in the middle of starting up a business/franchise (Entrees Made Easy, in AZ) so she'll be so busy we're assuming she can't stay much longer than that. |
