 | Re: Come on Bahama Brides, let's liven this place up!! Hi! I'm a Bahama bride. I need to vent right now, so I'm sorry to be starting off on a bad note. Our wedding is next weekend (May 24th) on Grand Bahama. We're holding the wedding and reception at the Westin Our Lucaya resort and it has been a miserable experience working with them. The property is beautiful and well maintained, and we are so lucky to have a top notch wedding planner in Janet Albury from VIP Services. The problem is that the Westin keeps making up new fees and charges that are not included in our original contract. Most recently, they are requiring that we pay the group rate for our rooms even though we can get a much better rate by calling the hotel directly of through their own website.
I urge every bride who is considering this property to think twice and if you choose to move forward, hire an attorney and be very careful and thorough in your original contract. I'll let you all know how it turns out in a couple weeks. Hopefully I don't need to vent anymore! |
