I am wondering if any of you have had any experiences shipping luggage for a vacation or maybe you have used this for your wedding...

FI and I were thinking of doing this but it is SO FREAKIN EXPENSIVE it is crazy - like $500 per bag

Be sure your resort/coordinator can even receive shipments. I was thinking of shipping stuff directly to my resort, but 1) the cost was ridiculous and 2) the resort doesn't accept anything early because they don't want to accept the liabilty for it.
