 | Re: Weddings At Kona Village Hi Roo66 and Welcome!
I am getting married at Kona Village in September.
We will be staying there for 1 week and then going to another Hawaiian Island for 1 week for our Honeymoon - we have 30+ guests traveling with us to Kona Village.
We are using TA Dina (she is a travel agent on this forum) to book everything.
Also, the WC has been AMAZING!
Let me know if you have anymore questions.

 | Re: Weddings At Kona Village Hi Alyssa,If its not to rude a question how much did you pay/guests pay for a room there.I understand its not quite all inclusive looking at trip advisor you do have to pay extras, however i love the whole look .Quiet, thatched huts(NOT CALLED HUTS I KNOW).It reminds me of where we stayed on our first holiday together in the maldives.I am very new and didnt know there was a travel agent on this forum i wonder if she could help us?I went into a TA yesterday whilst out shopping and they had no brouchers on hawaii at all and dont ever get many.we know, no one who has ever been.Which makes our choice even mre fun.Did you get your dress yet and how are your plans going?I look forward to hearing from you and seeing your wedding photos in a few months time. |

 | Re: Weddings At Kona Village hey! it is not rude that you asked but I suggest PM'ing TA DINA or calling her directly to discuss pricing. SunKissed Vacations
It depends on the size of your group, time of year, type of Hale's (pronounced Hay-Lay). They start at around $450 per night.
Also, are you getting an air/hotel package, etc?
I am going dress shopping Thursday so cross your fingers for me.
Our plans are going really well and we have a lot done - I am getting so EXCITED!

HAHA! | I know right!!! I had an appt but it was that same week that the Molokai thing happened and I didn't want to look for a dress with no location LOL...we got K's suit the other day ( Post Groom and GM attire) so that is all taken care of - i think he is going to look AMAZING for the TTD. I am not planning on spending a fortune on the dress and honestly i am not that sentimental so i could care less if it gets ruined the next day

 | Re: Weddings At Kona Village I don't want to be a downer but I wanted to also share my experience. I called two times per week for three weeks (6 total calls) and emailed the hotel directly for information and a contact and no one got back to me.
About a month later, on Easter Sunday, in the middle of the afternoon the wedding coordinator called me back. As per our caller id she called 7 times that day. By then I had found a really great wedding planner in Kauai and booked her.
I was fearful if I went with Kona Village as I originally wanted they would be unresponsive to other needs of mine throughout the wedding planning process and my wedding.
Just thought I would throw that out there. I wish I could remember the planners name who finally ended up calling me back. She was the one I called the 6 times and left a voicemail with as well. |

That really sucks - I think that was during the transition when that woman left and the new wedding coordinator came on - that is so unfortunate that you had to experience that and missed out on such a great location My experience with KV has been consistently exceptional, their WC calls me back or emails me back with 24 hours of any inquiry- he is AMAZING - so on top of everything and so accomodating. At this point, I give him an A+++++ but will do a full review when I get back. Thanks for sharing!
