Question Iberostar Paraiso Maya

Has anyone ever been to the Iberostar Paraiso Maya? I was looking there, and Dreams Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa.

Any input on either would be greatly appreciated!! I've never been to Puerto Vallarta or Riviaria Maya, so I have no clue what the areas are like...

Thanks girls!!

hey there,

Iberostars in general are very FUN resorts...younger crowds and families...this resort i think is one of the nicer of the chain. it consistently gets really good reviews.

PV Dreams is also a great resort with great reviews...

you just need to figure which would work best for you...PV or RM?

Tammy, or anyone, do you know what the differences are between the 5 Iberostars in the Mayan Riviera? Is there a big difference, do you have to carefully consider which of the 5 you are talking about?

] TOURIST CARDS (it is given to every foreigner on the flight down to Mexico).
BIRTH CERTIFICATES translated into Spanish by an official translator attached with an “Apostille”. (An official translator can be found at the yellow pages of your city)
“Apostille” is a form of certification that it is required by the Mexican Authorities in order to make your papers legal here in Mexico.
 If you are American, please contact the Secretary of State where you were born. You should send your birth certificates to the Secretary of State and enclose a letter stating that you are getting married in Mexico and that you need an Apostille. They will then return you the documents back. For more information please contact the web page below: Secretaries of State - Corporate Information - All States
 If you are European, please contact the Foreign Affairs of your country.
 If you are Canadian, please contact the nearest Mexican Embassy or Consulate in order to legalize your Birth Certificate and translation. For more information please contact the web page below:
Untitled Document
The Judge usually keeps the birth certificates so we recommend you to bring certified copies rather than originals.
DIVORCE CERTIFICATE translated into Spanish (if Bride is divorced). “Apostille” is mandatory and needed.
WITNESSES You need four witnesses with their picture ID and their Tourist Card for your wedding. They need to be here at the latest four working day’s prior to the wedding. If you do not bring any witnesses, the hotel will provide them without any extra charge.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE CIVIL CEREMONY
[See the attached file] The wedding couple and their witnesses must be in Mexico for at least 4 complete business days (Saturdays, Sundays & Public Mexican Holidays are not included) before the wedding, not counting the arrival date or the wedding date, to meet with the wedding coordinator and submit all the required documents and going over the wedding details.
The ceremony will not be performed unless all documents are in order
(No exception)
The marriage is legal ONLY in Mexico. If you want to make it legal in your country you have to pay US$ 50 extra in order to get the Apostille. You will receive this paper through courier mailing 2 - 3 months after the wedding.
Marriage License Apostille (for USA and British Citizens) – After the wedding you will receive your Marriage License and an original copy. In order to make this valid in your country, we need to get the apostille for the Marriage License as well. We take care of this procedure, but it is 50 USD payable in cash before the wedding day. The procedure takes 1-3 months as soon as we have it back you would receive it through courier mailing.
Marriage License Original Copies – every extra copy is 10 USD payable in cash, before the wedding day. This procedure takes around one month. As soon as we receive it we will mail it through courier mailing.
Don’t forget to bring with you for the first personal meeting the required paperwork (Passports, Birth Certificates with the official Spanish translation and the Apostille, Divorce Certificate with the official Spanish translation and the Apostille, such as the Tourist Card).
