If you've got a starfish to share, please post, and indicate what color. If you want to borrow one, find someone and ask them nicely, promise to take very, very good care of their starfish, and to pass it on to another BDW bride when the time comes.

Okay, I'm a bit confused about all this starfish sharing stuff. I know BDW used to officially have starfish to share but no longer does (was getting abused with people not passing them on) and now it's done more informally. I understand from reading this that you guys use this as your "something borrowed". But I'm wondering what you actually do with the starfish? A decoration for the ceremony table?
I had a bunch of starfish for my decorations. So just wondering if you guys do something in particular with your one borrowed starfish. | |

These are the starfish bouquet jewels, like these: 
They come on a long (8"?) pin and tuck into your bouquet.
Generally, I think we've seen them in blue, clear and topaz.

this is correct. If you all want to pass your starfish, make sure you do it amongst yourselves, we stopped doing this on the forum because many fot broken or lost....and give it to a member that will take care of it and ship it well.
