Question: Can someone give me some feedback on what you're doing or have done with accommodations before the actual ceremony? We're trying to book our flight and hotel, and the package deal out of Dallas includes one room for both of us at the Riu. BUT we can't stay together until after the ceremony. So I'm a bit confused on what to do.

We toyed with the idea of sleeping in seperate rooms the night before the wedding, but decided to just stay together and then divide up in the morning. When we were talking about it, I was going to stay with my family or friends.
If you don't want to stay together for the entire time you are there before the wedding, you may want to consider booking another room through the resort for that time. Or, if one of your friends or family members is coming down as early as you, maybe you could maybe stay with them? That would be my only suggestions... :)

we decided to spend the night before together and then part ways in the morning. we werent paying an extra $250 for using a room for less than 24 hours, it wasnt worth it to us.

Ok, I wasn't sure if the resort would work with you on this one...I figured not. What do they care? Thanks, girls...

I think some resorts offer complimentary room for the groom the night before the ceremony based on availability (I know Excellence does) don't know about Riu
