Default Where is the best place to stay in PV?

I'm looking at possibly renting a condo or small villa and then finding hotels for guests...but i'm wondering what part of PV is the best....I've heard that the Southern (Mismayola) is really nice. I'm not sure if I want to stay right downtown or not...but I do want to be close to good restaurants, shopping, things to do... Any and all suggestions would be great!! Thanks!

While Mismaloya is nice, it certainly is not close to restaurants, shopping, etc. I would check the romantic zone or hotel zone if that's what you would like. We stayed in Mismaloya and we were about 20 mins away. Some places north of Mismaloya (like Dreams) is a tad closer, but not much.
