FI's sister works for NWA and that is who we are flying with to Mexico. I guess their new luggage limit is 1- 50 lb bag per person. But, if you booked your ticket before they changed it you are fine. So we are good and I'm glad because I'm going to need 2 full to the rim and then some!! ha

Thanks for the update. I've heard some rumblings about airlines becoming more stringent about checked bags recently.

This is only good for travel upto and on May 4. After May 5 the policy goes into effect for everyone.
Anything after that is $25 for the 2nd bag weighing 50lbs or less. Each additional bag is $100. This counts skis, golf clubs, etc.
and the kicker...YOU HAVE TO PAY THAT AMOUNT EACH WAY!

I'm wondering if there will be a class action law suit againt all of the airlines doing this for breech of contract.
They are not doing this for first & business class passengers or members of their frequent flyer club, etc.
