I love all of your ideas! One of my bridesmaids is a hair stylest and is doing my extensions. I have almost always had chin to shoulder length hair and want to have luscious, long hair for a month! I either want something old hollywood glam like the fist pic or something to the side like the second one. It will probably have to be the second one because of how windy the gazebo is at Dreams Cancun.

I had a bit of a dilemma when deciding on how to wear my hair...It is very long and I ALWAYS where it up for work (restaurant industry), so my fiance rarely saw it down. He loves it down though so I wanted to wear it down for the wedding, however, being on the beach and all I knew if I wore it down it would blow all over the place and look like poo relatively quickly...lol...and I love how it looks in updo's....so I opted for it being up for the ceremony then took it down for the reception which was indoors...now THAT is comprimising I think..lol. I found some great pics at Beach Wedding Ideas check them out for good ideas. | |

Morgan thanks for the hair collage, I love all of those looks, I'm going b/t something like that and a french twist. Has anyone used a hair pad to make their bun fuller? My hairdresser was just telling me about them and I wonder if it helps?

Soontobeamrs - I personallly don't think side ponytails work that well for a wedding because they are super cute from the front straight on (thinking pictures) but from the side that doesn't have the tail it may look a bit strange. If you are having one of those photojournalistic style photogs then that might cause me some stress- trying to get the right side all the time. Does that make sense? They are super cute though but if you think of when celebs have them in pics it is usually a front on shot.
Samantha- extensions will be fun- especially if your friend is doing them they prob wont cost you an arm and leg. If she does them well and has a lot of expereince you won't see the "bonds".

I have finally settled on my hairstyle for the wedding. I was originally thinking the Emmy Rossum style that I posted earlier on this thread. Then, for the past little while, I started thinking that I wanted it down and curly/wavy. Anyway, I went to my normal stylist for a trim the other day, and she offered to do a few sample looks for me at no charge. I've been going to her for years, and it was like she read my mind. I seriously was close to tears I was so happy. I didn't even cry when I found the dress!
The style she did was very similar to the front and back pics attached. I'm going for a trim a few days before we leave for the wedding, and I'm going to ask her to do it again, and this time I'm going to make sure to take some pictures. The Maui stylist I've booked for the wedding is supposed to be amazing, and I'm sure he'd do a great job based on the pics below, but I feel so much better knowing that I'll have pics of the style I want done by the hairstylist who knows me so well.
