Has anyone considered using (or has already used!) more colourful makeup? Like brighter eyeshadows or lips?

Personally I wouldn't because I want the photos to always look classic. I look at 80's pictures and shudder. Heck I look at my senior pics ('99) and shudder! 
Here's a pic of my sisters hair at the wedding. I thought it was adorable and maybe another bride wants to use it. 
Here's a crappy pic of mine. I took it myself to see what my hair looked like. I forgot to bring a travel mirror to see the back.

LOL Okay I just imagine what I'm assumign you imagined & I so didn't mean that!!!
I just meant like maybe having a more peachy or pinky lipstick with simple eyes, or a tiny touch of colour on the eyes (like a light wash of colour, as opposed to heavy colour)

I'm using heavier makeup, I always wanted to be a drag queen when I grew up! My everyday look includes pretty heavy eyes...I haven't trialed yet though, I've been scouring Youtube for ideas and posted my favorite so far.

I am deleting a bunch of wedding stuff I still have on my computer, but before I did, I wanted to just post this on the forum in case it helps anyone else. lol - no problem! I've had a few people ask for pics of my hair - I am flattered! My only complaint was that it started falling out pretty early, and was tickling my back. But I was pretty happy with it given the amount of thought I put into it (very little!)

I'm wearing purple eyeshadow & pink lipstick. Sounds terrible doesn't it? I went in a few years ago for a clinique makeover & they put purple on me. It really suits my dark eyes & hair. it's not obvious that it's purple. I'll have wedding pics soon so you can see how it looks.
I watched a youtube video where the lady was doing bridal makeup & she used purple so it made me think it would be fine for the wedding. If it looks dated it will give my kids a good laugh when they look a mommy's wedding pics.

I have totally different advice for someone who does not wear makeup, if you never put it on I would TOTALLY not advise that you choose your wedding day to experiment. Simply instruct your makeup artist to give you a NATURAL application of products. Any good artist knows the difference between glam and natural and should be able to create a look that suits your personality and event, not make you look like someone you are not.
The last time I was in Jamaica I "tested" my newly cut "straight" bangs.  I am African-American and my hair is relaxed and in December I was in Jamaica I wore my freshly blown out hair with big barrel curls down to my shoulders and POOF it went right up.
I cut bangs to see how they would do for the wedding based on my glam style. In April my hair did just fine - I carried a flat iron with me and it stayed straight with a light morning touch up.
When I met with Sonia the wedding coordinator at Tensing Pen I showed her my style - also with FAB bangs. She loved it (as do I) and was certain that the stylist could make it happen for the wedding. The stylist is about $100. 
I would choose what you feel comfortable with and work with the stylist to make it happen. I am prepared to start on my hair first thing the day of the wedding to make sure we have enough time.
