Best Kauai Snorkeling For all of you who've been to Kauai before, where's the best snorkeling spots? I've heard Larsens Beach is pretty good. My FI and I are going there at the end of June and I wanted to start doing some planning.

| Re: Best Kauai Snorkeling Best snorkeling beaches: (all in the North Shore)
1. Lydgate State Park in Wailua for beginners
2. Tunnels Beach for intermediate snorkeler
3. Kee Beach - for intermediate snorkeler
4. Hideaways
For a virtual tour of these beaches, see the thread on Virtual Tour of Kauai.
Best to you!

Re: Best Kauai Snorkeling Gotta agree with Kee beach for snorkeling. We went to a few spots on the island and from the moment we were knee deep in the ocean at Kee there was a school of huge fish swimming about. Snorkeling was pretty much effortless with so many beautiful fish there! We're going back in August...yay!!!

Re: Best Kauai Snorkeling I got the following guidebook, so I should be in pretty good shape as far as where to go, unless there's some pretty rare hidden gems. The reviews on it look really good though. Barnes*&*Noble.com - Books: Ultimate Kauai Guidebook, by Andrew Doughty, Paperback, Revised

Re: Best Kauai Snorkeling We snorkeled at Princeville, and it was nice. There were a lot of colorful fish. We didn't have a chance to go anywhere else. I'm not much help.
